I just know from previous leagues, when the league is free, even dynasty, people who don't like their team ditch it and it is difficult to get someone to take over that spot

i think the set up of this league looks great but like the issue was previously said was that teams outta the race might get inactive and not care, but c when money is involved, the owner(s) will just start to rebuild and put themselves in a good situation to win or try for the next season

a money league might help, at the same time though people might not pay. I think the best idea is to make a limit on the amount of teams 16 makes for a very deep league with a lot of compitition. It seems that everyone wants to be active, which is good. I think even if it is for money some teams will pay and since the fee is so low will bail latter anyways. No matter what IMO we will have to deal with replacing owners, the best thing to do reduce the amount of teams which should likely make teams slightly better overall which makes for more competition.

ya but c im sure if money is involved that if an owner bails no one would care til the next season cuz obviously the money was payed so no big deal...but on another note...maybe the commish can make the same board with the same rules and everything and have this one (free) and another (money) or a couple of us can make a money league like this and obviously stay in this league cuz i do love this set up

thats a good point, less teams...but we have 21 members already..i would also pay $$ just so people are competitive and dont quit..

Apply by answering these questions.
1. What is your favorite MLB team? Red Sox
2. By what venue did you find this league? fantasy baseball cafe
3. Do you use, and if so, what are your: YIM? AIM? E-mail? (A messenger is not required, but definitely useful) AIM: theseismyminks (not on a ton anymore, but i will get on if someone PM's me) email: keith_auclair@yahoo.com
4. What experience do you have playing Fantasy baseball, and where? (Your success does not need to be included, and if included will not influence acceptance in any way) I have played in every type of fantasy league except for H2H shallow leagues, because I hate crazy streamers. I am currently in two long term leagues, one is a 12 team keeper where we keep 13 each year, and the other is a 28 team dynasty league started from real life teams and using real life minor league rosters (i have the stros). I have played in many yearly leagues on espn and yahoo. I have played in several auction leagues including the dynasty league I am in.
5. How would you classify your average activity level? I am usually one of the most active in the league. I check it every day, and respond to all trade proposals quickly. I also enjoy making interesting trades, not just drafting and quiting.
6. When you have ideas to improve the league, how do you go about trying to do so? If there is a message board for a league that likes suggestions, I will usually suggest things there. In many of my leagues, people have appreciated my suggestions, and problem solving abilities, however I know I am not the commish or any smarter than anyone else, so I am never stubborn with my ideas.
7. Did you or do you know who Lip Pike was without looking it up? Nope.
8. Is there any other points of interest you feel are relevant to your acceptance? I don't join a million leagues. I like the set up of this one, so I plan on sticking with it.
What teams would you prefer to have? I like the defunct teams or former team names. So from the list, the Senators are the most interesting. If I can pick any former team, I have always had a thing for the Boston Beaneaters. Other than those, I'll take whatever.

1. What is your favorite MLB team? Yankees!!! 2. By what venue did you find this league? Jarjets from this league. 3. Do you use, and if so, what are your: YIM? AIM? E-mail? (A messenger is not required, but definitely useful) Yes. Yankees338 (AIM) 4. What experience do you have playing Fantasy baseball, and where? (Your success does not need to be included, and if included will not influence acceptance in any way) I've been in many fantasy baseball leagues as well as GM Simulation leagues that use OOTP for simming. 5. How would you classify your average activity level? Very active. I'm constantly on my computer because of my lack of a social life . Seriously though, I check in daily. 6. When you have ideas to improve the league, how do you go about trying to do so? I run it by the league commissioner first and/or a few other members to gauge interest. If they're interested, I continue brainstorming ways to improve upon the idea and then formally propose it to everybody (pending commissioner approval). 7. Did you or do you know who Lip Pike was without looking it up? Nope. 8. Is there any other points of interest you feel are relevant to your acceptance? I'm an avid baseball fan. I play and follow it intensely. I'm a huge fan of not just the MLB, but I follow prospects very much as well. What teams would you prefer to have? Ideally, the Yankees. I'd like a team full of youth, or an older team that would provide a challenge to turn around. I'm open to anything (and not in that way, sorry...).
