-There is no limit to the number of Minor Leaguers you can have in your system.
-Minor Leaguers acquired through the Minor League or Amateur Draft receive 5 year contracts. For Amateurs, the year in which they were drafted does not count as one of the 5 years.
-Minor Leaguers do not count against the cap in any way, with the exception of those won through auction.
-Minor Leaguers lose Minors status once they eclipse the rookie thresholds (50 IP or 130 AB). After losing status they will count toward the salary cap the next season. Year 1 = $1.00 Year 2 = $2.00 Year 3 = $3.50 Year 4 = $5.00 Year 5 = $7.00
Example: Player A has a 5 year contract and loses rookie status in the second year of the contract. In year 3 he will count against the cap by 1, in year 4 by 2, and year 5 by 3.5.

~Adjusted for Inital Minors Draftees~
Year 1 = $0.00 Year 2 = $0.75 Year 3 = $1.75 Year 4 = $3.00 Year 5 = $4.50
This upcoming year does count as one of the year on a prospects contract, so a player who breaks through the rookie thresholds this year will count $.75 next year.

-For the first three years of a players career after being promoted, you have the option to drop the player without cap penalty during the offseason after the year.
