Not a fan or a hater of either team, so I dont have much commentary.
Bourn, Geary, and a minor leaguer sent to Houston.
So what I previously thought was an overdraft of Bourn, is now a very high quality pick.
Qualls, Geary, and Miller are currently highest on the Astros depth chart, but no Closer is definitively listed.
This also makes Brett Myers a Starter again (at this point).

Yeah funny thing is i thought Qualls would automatically become the closer but the Astros brass say that may not be the case !

I'm a Phillies fan, and here's my take...NO MORE GEARY...YES! My friends and I call Geary the Gas Man because he's like putting gas on a fire.
I like Bourn, but Victorino and Rollins provide a ton of speed on the bases already. Also, Utley is a great baserunner and Werth is underrated on the basepaths as well. Bourn's speed is his major asset. He's doesn't hit the ball all that hard, and looks overmatched at the plate at times. And Costanzo is not an MLB regular.
The only thing that worries me is the Phillies inability to gauge the health of acquisitions. Freddy Garcia was allegedly fine last year and Joe Borowski's shoulder didn't pass their physical. If Lidge stays healthy, he'll be a great addition to the bullpen, and a well needed one.
It's about time Ed Wade made a deal that helps the Phillies.

I think Philly made a mistake. They should never got rid of Bourne (I don't know anything about the other 2 players). Lidge sucks. He hasn't done anything since he blew save opportunities in the 2004 NLCS when the Cardinals came back to beat Houston. Lidge is going to continue to suck. He is overrated.

Lidge does come with risk, but Bourn isn't a star by any means. Lidge only has 1 year left on his contract and this allows Myers to return to the starting rotation rather than offering a 4 or 5 year/$10M contract to a middle of the rotation starter.
Geary was actually half decent in 2006 but all of his other years caused Phillies fans to curse upon the mention of him warming up.
Constanzo gets mixed reviews. He is a power hitting 3rd baseman who strikes out a lot and doesn't field particularly well. Some people think he can be an MLB starter, but for the most part I've heard people say he needs to correct many parts of his game just to crack an MLB roster.
