The Tigers I think did a great job with this trade.
Now they have Cabrera at 3B, Renteria at SS, Polanco at 2B, and Carlos Guillen at 1B, and I-Rod at C.

I think the tigers just took the lead for favorites in the AL , cabrera makes that lineup SICK , and willis adds alot of depth. I think Willis bounces back and makes a solid #3 behind Verlander and Bonderman

For today I would call them the AL favorites, but tomorrow that could change if the Sox reel in Johan. I would take the Red Sox rotation + Santana before I would take the Tigers lineup, but I will put the Tigers down as the clear favorite for the Central, and I don't foresee anything that could possibly change that, unless they go after Bedard or Haren (which even if they did, I'm still not sure about). If I were a Tiger fan I would feel confident on procuring ALCS tickets now.
Another thing to add to this trade, is that the American League just added a superstar and the potential for a second if Dontrelle rebounds. Depending on what happens with Free Agency and more higher end impact trades, the AL could dominate the NL in the West over East NBA fashion.
