Ok fellas, thought I'd hash this out with you guys since the commish didn't answer me about it.
Alright, now that everyone is strapped the max with contracts. It would be theoretically cheaper for me to cut say...
Kelvim escobar (3 years 15 mil)
and attempt to resign him for like 3 mil a year at my max bid and I may be able to get him cheaper depending on the lack of demand for someone with his arm falling off.
I'd net 5 mil for this year and 2 more...
For all of you who check rotoworld, this is a jay gibbons deal...
What ya think?

I don't see any problems with it at all. It's not against the rules, so go for it. I actually think that's a pretty good idea.
I know I don't want him, so that's one person you won't have to bid against.

yeah...I figured this wouldn't be a problem, but it could result in someone doing something like this...
Someone will pay 70 mil for arod...
He cuts him and owes 35...
Resigns him for 10 mil and that makes him "cheaper" than miguel cab.
he pays 45 instead of the 60 that he is probably worth.
The variable is how many people will cut to get in on the signing wars during the season.

That is something generally not allowed in leagues like these. I would say that the owner that cuts a player should not be allowed to re-bid on that player, but we really need to wait on the commish. Either way, the commish has specifically said that NO ONE can bid on players that have been cut yet. I think that should be changed, but that is the current rule.
As a side not, if the commish never shows up again, we are going to have to make some major decisions about how to go forward.
